It was another proud moment for Pembroke RFC Women as, following their fantastic league-winning season, the team were invited to take part in the half-time pitch parade at Wales’ opening WXV Global Series match against South Africa at Cardiff Arms Park on Friday 18th September.
The occasion was made even more special for Pembroke player Jodie Lewis, who took up the opportunity to be a flag bearer for Wales, giving her a fantastic pitchside experience ahead of kick-off.
It was a brilliant evening celebrating just how far the women’s game has come, and a special opportunity for our players, coaches and volunteers to represent Pembroke RFC on the national stage. With friends and family joining the celebrations, it was a very proud moment for everyone involved with the team and a fitting recognition of what the players achieved together last season.
To top off a memorable night, Wales produced a superb performance, securing an emphatic 50–19 victory over South Africa. A fantastic night for Welsh women’s rugby and an especially proud one for Pembroke! 🏉❤️
