The Panthers are looking fresh this season in a new strip. A bespoke design that was created with the help of Club Cymru. The new home strip is in the classic Pembroke Scarlet & incorporates some features from the ladies first ever home & away kits.
Having targeted the 23/24 season as a season for growth the ladies team decided a revised look was in order, having played in the same kit since 2018. They were put in touch with Ty Francis, a Tenby boy by birth who is now a successful businessman, Ty lives and works in the Big Apple & is Co-founder of New York Welsh, the world’s largest active Welsh diaspora network. Via New York Welsh he sources philanthropic individuals to provide sponsorship under the New York Welsh banner. New York Welsh meet in the club room of The Liberty NYC & host welsh ex pats whether residing in or visiting New York. Ty Francis MBE, Charlotte Jupp and Glenn Treacher support #jerseyforall specifically to fund women’s grass roots sports with the focus being on rugby and football.
So supportive they are the main kit sponsors and they ordered extra shirts for themselves to be able to wear & have even got one to go on the wall at The Liberty itself. So if you’re in NYC please pop in and check it out.
“Charlotte, Me and The Liberty NYC couldn’t be prouder!! Your other shirt will be on our wall of fame downstairs!” – Ty Francis
As the old adage goes, look good play better. There must be some truth as currently the ladies are in the quarter finals of the cup and second in the league.
